Modeling a Cybertronic Surveiler!

My boys and I use to play a lot of Warzone, they really like the game fluff and system and have for years. We got back into it last year to discover a new 3rd Ed. system was created UWZ (Ultimate Warzone) with lots of new troop types but no miniatures to go with them.

Now we have been looking for ways to flesh out the units we would like to play. I play Capitol and acquired several hundred of them years ago (old and new) used them for my guard army. My boys play Cybertronic and Bauhaus. UWZ has introduced a lot of new troop types for the Cybertronic force so we have been busy getting them in the field however some are very hard to find (or not made) so we have tried to find suitable proxies.

Here is our Surveiler which I have almost completed, I used the VOID miniature “CODENAME WARMACHINE” which I think is excellent, I added a face respirator and repositioned the guns so they are facing forward – my son is quite happy with it:

It started out like this

We wanted the model to have the guns facing forward so we removed them and added a ball joint – filed 2 sides flat so we could pin and glue the gun and then the upper arm into place.

I made the respirator with a metal tube that I cut and bent to form around the face, I cut a piece of sheet plastic to fit under the respirator and then cut smaller tube pieces and added to each side.

Here he is:

For the Cancer MMG we deviated a little, we went with more of a cyborg type model with a BIG GUN or as we call it a B-F-G! We really wanted the face to look very hard but stressed in its new “body” so hence the red ring around the neck. We really liked the way it turned out also.

Here are a couple of close ups of the 2 different faces

Some shots of the gun and multi legs and such…

The surveiler is about a man and a half tall so here is a shot of the Cancer MMG next to the Surveiler (the Surveiler is mounted on a AT43 small base which was perfect for his size – it is slightly larger then your standard round base), I am still putting finishing touches on the Cancers and will began to paint the Surveilers (have one more to finish). I will post pictures up here when they are finished.

I will get pictures of the EDD in the morrow, we are have a good time getting back into this – plan on posting more picture on our projects – we have been busy 🙂

  • Very nice models. Guys from Poland have sculpted Srveiler as well and I bought one. I will post a picture next time.

What type of miniature did you use for the Cancer? I can imagine I would use the same…

BTW, I hope I will receive a mould for 19. Silent (again from Poland). I think I would be able to make the figures for you/your son as well but I am from the Czech Republic…
